Oil rules the world (including the CD/DVD Replication industry!)

Economy failing, house prices plummeting, inflation increasing….. all the doom and gloom headlines that are currently in the news daily at the moment. What has this got to do with the CD replication and DVD replication industries? Same as any other US industry at the moment really - price of oil! It increases raw materials costs, it increases transport costs and it increases energy costs to run the manufacturing plants amongst other things.

The worrying fact is, while oil price affects everybody (regardless of country) it seems that CD manufacturing and DVD manufacturing facilities overseas are continually offering cheap product but the question is what do these cheap prices really cost? There is often referral to cheap labor and even dated machinery used which result in inferior product. Anti-piracy policies are lapse which results in additional copies replicated specifically for the black market.

So what can we do to help the economy, our CD duplication and DVD duplication industry and above all, help ourselves? Well I’m no politician (nor would I wish to be) however I do have my theory! Manufacturing produces jobs, jobs earn you money, money you spend which therefore generates a wealthier economy! For any manufacturing, the more units you produce the more cost effective it is therefore the selling price can be lower. Solution? When you choose the company to take care of your CD replication or DVD replication, ask where they will be physically made! Digital Disc Duplication, based in Florida, are proud to say ALL CD’s and DVD’s are Made in the USA! Why not add that to your artwork - ”Made In the USA” - and together we can be proud to feel that we have helped!
