DVD Authoring

Perhaps you’ve thought about developing a multimedia business presentation, a product demo, or even a full-length feature film, but you don’t have the time or resources for it.

At Digital Disc Duplication, we’ll finish the job for you, and deliver your product on top-quality DVD! From simple menu design to content development and 2pass VBR MPEG2 encoding, we’ll author your DVD to the highest industry standards.

We use the latest technology, including Dolby Digital surround sound and lossless data compression.

Lossy vs. Lossless Compression

Jpeg is a well-known file type with lossy compression. A jpeg image can be compressed to a fraction of its original size, but the higher the compression, the more the image breaks down. A jpeg’s compression algorithm “guesses” at blocks of color, with sometimes less than satisfying results. After multiple saves, a jpeg image can end up so marred by artifacts that it has to be discarded.

Lossless compression, on the other hand, uses a sophisticated algorithm that leaves original data completely intact. This makes lossless compression the method of choice for movie-quality digital productions or for anything where data integrity is a primary concern.

What We Can Do for You

Digital Disc Duplication offers full service DVD authoring: video production, professional lossless video editing, audio mastering, sound effects, custom music, and just about anything else you can name. Looking for a lying corporate logo or an animated sound bite? We’ll take care of that, too!

We’ll integrate 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound or standard 2 channel Dolby, motion menus, alternate angles, multiple language streams, or anything else that will bring your DVD to life. Widescreen or 4:3, PAL or NTSC, any region code – we’ll customize your DVD to your exact specifications.

Our authoring team can finalize your ideas, take your existing ideas and expand on them, or start from the ground up and complete an entire project for you.
