Audio Mastering

Audio mastering can make the difference between a good production and a great one.

While it can’t magically fix recording and mixing errors, mastering is a key part of the process of creating professional quality, error-free digital masters ready for CD.

Mastered tracks start correctly, end precisely, and are properly ordered. Recording levels are even, gaps between tracks are consistent.

At Digital Disc Duplication, we use multi-band compression and parametric equalizers to make your sound pop. If your recording lacks depth or if the vocals blend in with the band, we can bring everything into sharper focus. Parts that need to stand out will be clearer. Background sounds will recede into the background where they belong.

We’ll see that track volumes don’t jump from loud to soft, and that your whole album has a polished but exciting feel.

We are sound engineers, but we’re also musicians. We care about the finished product: in a way, our name is on it too. With us, you’ll always get the best advice, and the best possible sound and presentation for your money.

A word of warning, however, before you send your recording to us: please don’t maximize the tracks! Leave us some working room for the audio mastering. If you’re not sure what this means, or if you’d simply like to know more about our facilities, services, and credentials, please contact us.
